Kettlebell Standing One-Arm Extension

The one-arm overhead extension with a kettlebell held by the handle; the hanging bell tugs at the wrist, so it must stay straight.

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall, a kettlebell by the handle overhead on a straight arm, free hand on the hip.

Steps

  1. Lower the bell behind the head, elbow up.
  2. Keep the wrist straight as the bell hangs.
  3. Straighten the arm and lock it out overhead.

Common mistakes

Wrist bending under the bell: grip hard and keep it stacked. Leaning to the free side: stand tall over both feet. Elbow flaring out: point it at the ceiling.

Breathing

Inhale lowering, exhale extending.
