Stability Ball Body Saw

A forearm plank on a stability ball with the feet on the floor: the forearms roll the ball a little forward and back while the body stays one line.

How to do it

Setup

Forearms on top of a stability ball, feet on the floor behind, body straight from head to heels.

Steps

  1. Roll the ball forward a short way, the arms reaching out.
  2. Keep the hips in line with the shoulders and heels.
  3. Draw the forearms back until the elbows are under the shoulders again.

Common mistakes

Hips sagging as the ball rolls out: shorten the roll. Piking the hips to pull the ball back: the forearms draw it in with the body straight. Feet sliding back: set the toes firmly before each rep.

Breathing

Inhale rolling out, exhale pulling back.
