Sitting Toe Pull Achilles Stretch
Seated with one knee drawn up and its foot flat, pull the forefoot toward you; the bent knee aims the stretch at the Achilles.
How to do it
Setup
Sitting on the floor, one leg long, the other knee bent with its foot flat.
Steps
- Take hold of the toes and ball of the bent leg's foot.
- Pull them up toward you, the heel staying down.
- Hold and breathe, then switch legs.
Common mistakes
Rounding hard to reach the foot: bring the heel closer instead. Yanking the toes: a slow, steady pull. Heel sliding away: keep it planted so the ankle bends.
Breathing
Slow and even through the hold.
