Single Straight-Leg Glute Bridge Hold

The single-leg floor bridge held at the top for time, the free leg straight and in line with the working thigh.

How to do it

Setup

On your back, one foot planted under the knee, the other leg straight, arms flat at the sides.

Steps

  1. Lift the hips on the planted leg until the body is a straight line.
  2. Hold there, pelvis level and the free leg in line.
  3. Lower slowly when the time is up, then switch legs.

Common mistakes

Hips sinking as the hold goes on: squeeze the glute and lift back to the line. Pelvis twisting to the free side: level beats long. Holding the breath: breathe steadily through the hold.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
