Elevated Single-Leg Bridge
A single-leg bridge with the working foot up on a low step and the free leg straight up, which adds range at the bottom.
How to do it
Setup
On your back, one foot on a low step with the knee bent, the other leg straight up toward the ceiling.
Steps
- Press the foot into the step and lift the hips level with the knee.
- Keep the raised leg pointing at the ceiling throughout.
- Lower until the glutes nearly touch the floor; finish the leg, then switch.
Common mistakes
Step sliding away: brace it against a wall or use a heavy one. Pushing through the toes: the whole foot, heel first. Hip sinking on the free side: level hips at the top.
Breathing
Exhale driving, inhale lowering.
