Seated In Out Leg Raise on Floor
The seated knee tuck on the floor with no load: the knees come in to the chest as the chest rises to meet them, and the legs push back out long.
How to do it
Setup
Seated on the floor, hands behind the hips, torso leaning back, legs long with the heels just off the floor.
Steps
- Draw the knees in toward the chest.
- Bring the chest up to meet them.
- Push the legs back out long and lean back again.
Common mistakes
Heels dropping to the floor between reps: they hover. Rounding back onto the elbows: arms straight, chest lifted. Rushing the push-out: extend the legs as slowly as you tuck them.
Breathing
Exhale drawing the knees in, inhale extending.
