Lying Floor Leg Raise (Arms Out)
The lying straight-leg raise with the arms spread wide on the floor; both legs travel together from a low hover to vertical.
How to do it
Setup
On the back, arms out wide at shoulder level with the palms down, legs long and together.
Steps
- Raise both straight legs together to vertical.
- Lower them slowly to just above the floor.
- Keep the arms pressing lightly into the floor for balance.
Common mistakes
Legs parting on the way up: squeeze them together. Heels touching down between reps: stop them just above the floor. Lower back arching as the legs drop: shorten the range until it stays down.
Breathing
Exhale as the legs rise, inhale as they lower.
