Scissors (Beginner)
The easiest scissors: lying on the back, arms on the floor, the straight legs held high at about 60° and scissored in small steps.
How to do it
Setup
On your back, arms by the sides, straight legs raised to about 60°.
Steps
- Move one leg a little up as the other moves down.
- Switch in small, even steps.
- Keep the lower back pressed to the floor.
Common mistakes
Letting the legs sink toward the floor: the high angle is what keeps it easy. Bending the knees: keep the legs straight. Lower back lifting: raise the legs higher.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
