Rollover
Lying on the back with the arms long, roll the straight legs up and over the head until they are level with the floor, then roll the spine down slowly.
How to do it
Setup
Lying on the back, arms long by the sides, palms down, legs straight and lifted toward the ceiling.
Steps
- Press the arms down and roll the hips up, taking the legs over the head.
- Stop with the legs level with the floor, the weight on the shoulder blades.
- Roll down one vertebra at a time until the legs are back above the hips.
Common mistakes
Weight rolling onto the neck: stop on the shoulder blades and keep the head still, facing up. Throwing the legs over with momentum: a slow roll, the belly doing it. Dropping out of the roll: lower the spine with control, the arms pressing down.
Breathing
Exhale rolling over, inhale rolling down.
