Ring Rollout

Standing and holding a pair of rings, fall forward in a straight line as the arms travel overhead, then pull back to standing.

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall, a ring in each hand in front of the hips, arms straight.

Steps

  1. Lean forward as one straight line, the straight arms traveling up overhead.
  2. Go only as far as the trunk stays braced.
  3. Press the rings back down toward the hips to pull yourself upright.

Common mistakes

Lower back sagging at the far point: shorten the fall; the brace decides the range. Bending the arms to pull back: straight arms press the rings down. Starting too close to the anchor: begin farther forward and step back toward it as you get stronger.

Breathing

Inhale rolling out, exhale pulling back.
