Ring Reverse Ab Rollout

Feet in low rings and hands on the floor, the knees tuck under the body with the hips rising, then the legs push back out to a long plank.

How to do it

Setup

Rings hung just off the floor, the feet in them, hands on the floor under the shoulders, body in a straight plank.

Steps

  1. Pull the knees in under the chest, letting the hips rise high.
  2. Round the back at the top with the shoulders over the hands.
  3. Push the legs back out to the long plank, the rings swinging back with them.

Common mistakes

Hips sagging when the legs go long: stop the push before the lower back arches. Elbows bending under the load: keep the arms straight, pushing the floor away. Rings swinging between reps: pause at each end until they settle.

Breathing

Exhale on the tuck, inhale extending.
