Reverse Plank with Leg Lift

A reverse tabletop on the hands with the knees bent and the hips level, one straight leg lifting up toward the ceiling and lowering.

How to do it

Setup

Hands on the floor behind, fingers forward, knees bent, feet flat, hips lifted level with the knees.

Steps

  1. Straighten one leg and lift it toward the ceiling.
  2. Lower it until the foot is back on the floor.
  3. Keep the hips level; alternate the legs.

Common mistakes

Hips dropping as the leg lifts: squeeze the glutes and keep the tabletop. Head hanging back: keep the chin slightly tucked. Shoulders sinking toward the ears: push the floor away.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
