Hamstring Bridge Leg Kick

The hamstring bridge held at the top while one straight leg kicks up toward the ceiling, then the other; one heel carries the bridge at a time.

How to do it

Setup

On your back, heels far past the knees, hips lifted into the bridge, arms flat on the floor.

Steps

  1. Kick one straight leg up while the other heel holds the hips.
  2. Lower it back to the floor without the hips dipping.
  3. Kick the other leg, alternating for the whole set.

Common mistakes

Hips dropping on each kick: kick lower until they stay up. Swinging the leg wildly: a controlled kick, a controlled return. Bending the kicking knee: the leg stays long.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
