Reverse Lunge (Leg Kick)

A reverse lunge that ends in a straight-leg kick to hip height as you stand.

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall, arms stretched forward at shoulder height.

Steps

  1. Lower into a reverse lunge.
  2. Stand and kick the back leg forward, straight.
  3. Swing it back into the next lunge.

Common mistakes

Rounding the back to kick higher: hip height is enough, chest tall. Kicking with a bent knee: the leg stays long. Standing heel lifting on the kick: plant the whole foot.

Breathing

Exhale on the kick, inhale stepping back.
