Weighted Plate Overhead March
A walking high-knee march with a weight plate held overhead on straight arms, the trunk upright under it.
How to do it
Setup
A plate held overhead by its edges, arms locked, standing tall.
Steps
- Lift one knee to hip height and step forward.
- Keep the plate still over the head.
- March on for the distance, knees high.
Common mistakes
Plate drifting forward: keep it over the crown. Leaning back to lift the knee: ribs down, stay tall. Knees dropping as you tire: shorten the distance, keep the height.
Breathing
Steady throughout the walk.
