Resistance Band Half-Kneeling Face Pull

The face pull on one knee with a flat band fixed high on a rack; the band pulls harder the closer the hands come to the face.

How to do it

Setup

Half-kneeling facing a rack, a flat band looped high on it, its free end in both hands, arms long.

Steps

  1. Pull the band to the forehead, elbows high and wide.
  2. Pause with the hands at the brow, upper arms level with the shoulders.
  3. Straighten the arms slowly against the band.

Common mistakes

Kneeling too close to the rack: shuffle back until the band is taut with long arms. Hips sitting back toward the heel: squeeze the glute of the down leg and stay tall. Chin poking out to meet the band: keep the head still and bring the band to it.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale on the return.
