Resistance Band Foot Plantar Flexion

Pointing one foot against a band while seated on a bench, the heel on the floor and the band's ends in the hands.

How to do it

Setup

Seated, one leg forward on its heel, the band around the forefoot, ends in the hands.

Steps

  1. Point the foot down and away against the band.
  2. Pause with the toes fully pointed.
  3. Let the band pull the toes back up slowly.

Common mistakes

Heel lifting off the floor: it stays down as the pivot. Hands yanking the band: hold them still. Toes curling instead of the ankle moving: point from the ankle.

Breathing

Exhale pressing, inhale returning.
