One-Leg Floor Calf Raise
The one-leg calf raise on flat floor with no support; holding the balance on one foot is half the work.
How to do it
Setup
On one foot, the other knee bent and that foot lifted behind, arms bent at the sides.
Steps
- Push the floor away and rise onto the ball of the foot.
- Hold the top for a beat without hopping.
- Touch the heel down lightly; switch legs after the set.
Common mistakes
Free foot touching down: keep it lifted the whole set. Wobbling at the top: slow down and fix the eyes on one point. Ankle tipping onto the little toe: weight over the big toe.
Breathing
Exhale rising, inhale lowering.
