Push-Up (One Arm on Stability Ball)

The push-up with one hand on a stability ball and the other on the floor; the uneven, rolling support makes each side press differently.

How to do it

Setup

One hand on top of a stability ball beside the shoulder, the other on the floor, feet wider than hip-width.

Steps

  1. Lower the chest, keeping the ball still under the hand.
  2. Press back up with the shoulders level.
  3. Finish the set, then put the ball under the other hand.

Common mistakes

Ball rolling out sideways: press down into it, not across it. Body tilting toward the floor hand: keep the shoulders level. Hand on the side of the ball: set it on top, over the center.

Breathing

Inhale down, exhale on the press.
