Power Sled Rear Lunge

Reverse lunges away from a loaded sled, straps held at arm's length; every step back drags the sled.

How to do it

Setup

Facing the sled, a strap in each hand, arms long, the straps taut.

Steps

  1. Step one foot back into a deep lunge.
  2. Rise on the front leg; the sled follows.
  3. Step the other foot back into the next lunge.

Common mistakes

Rowing the sled with the arms: they stay straight; the legs move it. Straps slack between steps: keep them taut for a smooth pull. Stepping back blind: check the path before the set.

Breathing

Inhale stepping back, exhale driving up.
