Long Distance Lunge (Low Lunge)
The forward lunge with the longest stride you can control, hips sinking low, back leg nearly straight.
How to do it
Setup
Standing, feet hip-width, hands relaxed at the sides.
Steps
- Step far forward and sink toward the front heel.
- Back leg long, hands on the front knee.
- One strong push brings you back; switch legs.
Common mistakes
Stride so long the front heel lifts: shorten it. Back knee dropping to the floor: keep that leg long and active. Hips twisting on the push back: square to the front.
Breathing
Inhale into the lunge, exhale pushing back.
