Bodyweight Walking Low Lunge
A walking lunge with an extra-long stride and the hips sunk low, the feet coming together between steps.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, feet together, a clear stretch of floor ahead.
Steps
- Take a long step and sink the hips low.
- Hands on the front thigh, back knee near the floor.
- Stand, feet together, and step with the other leg.
Common mistakes
Front heel lifting at the bottom: the stride is too short for this depth; lengthen it. Dropping the back knee onto the floor: lower it to a hover. Rushing into the next step: stand fully, then go.
Breathing
Inhale sinking down, exhale standing up.
