Overhead Dumbbell Lunge
Lunge holding a dumbbell locked out overhead; the shoulder and the trunk pay as much as the legs.

How to do it
Setup
One dumbbell locked out overhead, arm vertical; stand tall.
Steps
- Lunge forward keeping the bell stacked over the shoulder.
- Back knee just above the floor.
- Drive up and through to the next lunge.
Common mistakes
Arm drifting forward: the bell stays over the SHOULDER, ribs down. Watching the floor: eyes forward; the bell follows the gaze. Heavy too soon: the shoulder and trunk gate this, not the legs.
Breathing
Inhale into the lunge, exhale driving up.
