Neck Circle Stretch
Standing with the hands clasped behind the back, the head rolls in slow full circles, ear to shoulder, chin to chest, the other ear and back; a warm-up for the whole neck.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, feet hip-width, hands clasped behind the back, shoulders low.
Steps
- Tip one ear toward its shoulder, then roll the chin down across the chest.
- Carry on to the other shoulder and roll slowly through the back, keeping that half small.
- Finish the circles one way, then reverse.
Common mistakes
Dropping the head back fast: the back half stays slow and small. Shoulders rising with the head: keep them low and still. Rolling on through dizziness or a pinch at the base of the skull: stop and keep to the front half.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
