Machine Reverse T-Bar Row
The chest-supported T-bar row with an underhand grip; the elbows travel close to the ribs and the biceps help more than with the overhand handles.
How to do it
Setup
Chest on the machine's pad, feet on the rests, the handles taken underhand below, arms long.
Steps
- Row the handles up, elbows close to the ribs.
- Squeeze the blades with the chest kept on the pad.
- Lower into a long stretch.
Common mistakes
Curling the handles up: drive the elbows back; the hands only hold. Chest popping off the pad: stay glued to it. Wrists bending back: keep them straight in line with the forearms.
Breathing
Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
