Dumbbell Incline Head-Supported Row

Two dumbbells rowed with the forehead resting on a steeper incline bench, the torso near 45° and the chest free.

How to do it

Setup

Standing behind a steep incline bench, forehead on its top, hinged to about 45°, bells hanging.

Steps

  1. Row the bells to the lower ribs.
  2. Let only the forehead touch the pad.
  3. Lower until the arms hang straight.

Common mistakes

Chest sinking onto the bench: that is the chest-supported row; keep the chest free. Neck bending back to watch: eyes down. Torso rising as the set tires: hold the 45°.

Breathing

Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
