Machine Lying Leg Raise Bent Knee

Lying back in a leg-raise machine with the shins under the roller, draw the bent knees up toward the chest against the stack.

How to do it

Setup

Back on the curved pad, hands on the handles behind the head, shins under the roller pad, knees bent.

Steps

  1. Draw the knees up toward the chest, lifting the roller.
  2. Curl the hips slightly off the pad at the top.
  3. Lower the legs slowly until the stack almost rests.

Common mistakes

Letting the stack slam down: control the return. Pulling with the arms on the handles: they only hold you in place. Lower back arching off the pad at the bottom: stop the legs before it lifts.

Breathing

Exhale on the raise, inhale lowering.
