Lying Triceps Extension
Lying down, lower the bar toward the forehead by bending the elbows, then extend the arms; upper arms stay vertical.

How to do it
Setup
On the bench, bar over the chest, grip inside shoulder-width, elbows in.
Steps
- Bend the elbows, lowering the bar toward the forehead.
- Keep the upper arms vertical and still.
- Extend back to lockout over the chest.
Common mistakes
Elbows flaring wide: the triceps unload; keep them in. Upper arms drifting toward the head: that turns it into a pullover; vertical and frozen. Bouncing off the forehead: the nickname is a warning, not a technique.
Breathing
Inhale lowering, exhale extending.
