Lying Knee Roll Over Stretch
Lying on the back with the knees and feet kept together, the bent legs roll from side to side in a steady rhythm; the twist is in the waist, not the hips.
How to do it
Setup
Lying on the back, arms out to the sides, knees bent and together, feet on the floor.
Steps
- Roll both knees down to one side, the shoulders staying on the floor.
- Sweep them back up and over to the other side.
- Keep rolling side to side at an easy pace.
Common mistakes
Shoulders lifting as the knees drop: go only as far as they stay down. Knees drifting apart: keep them together. Letting the legs flop: guide them down and up with the waist.
Breathing
Steady with the rhythm.
