Lying Full Leg Raise
The side-lying leg raise taken through its full range: the straight top leg lifts all the way to vertical and lowers to the other.
How to do it
Setup
Lying on one side, the head on the outstretched bottom arm, the top hand on the floor in front, legs straight and stacked.
Steps
- Lift the top leg up until it points at the ceiling.
- Lower it slowly until it touches the bottom leg.
- Finish the set, then switch sides.
Common mistakes
Rolling back to get the leg higher: keep the hips stacked; the range ends where they stay. Dropping the leg down: lower it slower than it rose. Bending the knee at the top: keep the leg long.
Breathing
Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
