Resistance Band Glute Bridge Abduction

A floor glute bridge with a band above the knees and a push of the knees apart at the top: two movements in one rep.

How to do it

Setup

On your back, heels under the knees, the band looped around the lower thighs, arms flat.

Steps

  1. Drive the hips up into the bridge.
  2. At the top, push the knees apart against the band and bring them back.
  3. Lower the hips, knees still a little apart.

Common mistakes

Dropping the hips while the knees open: the bridge holds still; only the knees move. Snapping the knees back together: close them slowly against the pull. Band sitting on the kneecaps: slide it up onto the thighs.

Breathing

Exhale pressing apart, inhale returning.
