Low Jacks

Jumping jacks that stay down in a half squat the whole set, the arms sweeping overhead as the feet jump wide.

How to do it

Setup

Half squat, feet together, hands at the chest.

Steps

  1. Jump the feet wide, staying low, as the arms sweep overhead.
  2. Jump them back together, hands back to the chest.
  3. Keep the hips at the same low height the whole time.

Common mistakes

Rising out of the squat on each jump: stay low, the hips do not bob. Knees caving on the wide landing: push them out over the toes. Arms stopping halfway: reach fully overhead.

Breathing

Steady with the rhythm.
