Landmine Overhead Rear Lunge
The reverse lunge holding the landmine bar's end pressed up and forward overhead; the arc of the bar asks the shoulders and trunk to hold it steady while the legs lunge.
How to do it
Setup
Facing the pivot, the bar's end held in both hands with the arms straight up and forward.
Steps
- Step back into a lunge while the arms stay locked.
- Lower the back knee toward the floor, torso upright under the bar.
- Drive back up to the start without bending the arms.
Common mistakes
Arms bending as the legs tire: lighten the bar; the arms stay locked. Arching the lower back to hold the bar up: ribs down, trunk braced. Letting the bar's end drift toward the face: keep the arms reaching up and forward.
Breathing
Inhale stepping back, exhale driving up.
