Kettlebell Swing to Goblet Squat

A kettlebell swing caught at the chest, then a goblet squat, then the bell swung back between the legs for the next rep.

How to do it

Setup

Kettlebell on the floor ahead, feet a little wider than the hips, hinged with a flat back.

Steps

  1. Hike the bell back and swing it up with a hip drive.
  2. Catch it by the horns at the chest and squat.
  3. Stand, then let the bell drop into the next swing.

Common mistakes

Lifting the swing with the arms: the hips send the bell up. Catching it with a bang on the chest: draw it in softly by the horns. Rounding the back as the bell drops: hinge with a flat back.

Breathing

Exhale on the swing and on each rise.
