Landmine Lateral Raise
Side-on to a landmine, the near arm sweeps the end of the bar from the far hip out and up above the shoulder.
How to do it
Setup
Side-on to the landmine, the end of the bar in the near hand at the far hip.
Steps
- Sweep the bar across the body and out to the side.
- Finish with the arm above shoulder height, elbow nearly straight.
- Lower along the same arc; switch sides after the set.
Common mistakes
Torso turning to heave the bar up: hips and chest stay square. Bending the elbow into a press: the arm stays long. Forcing the top: stop where the shoulder still moves freely.
Breathing
Exhale raising, inhale lowering.
