Kettlebell Incline Fly

The incline fly with kettlebells; the bells hang from the handles, so the arc asks more of the grip than dumbbells do.

How to do it

Setup

Bench at 30–45°, bells held by the handles over the upper chest, elbows soft.

Steps

  1. Lower the bells out wide to a stretch across the upper chest.
  2. Hold the wrists straight as the bells swing out.
  3. Close the arc until the bells meet above the collarbones.

Common mistakes

Bells tipping the wrists back: grip hard, knuckles up. Opening below shoulder level: the shoulder takes it; stop at the stretch. Heavy bells on a fly: keep them light.

Breathing

Inhale opening, exhale on the squeeze.
