Kettlebell Floor Fly
The floor fly with kettlebells; the weight hangs off the handle, so the wrists and grip work to hold the bells steady through the arc.
How to do it
Setup
Lying on the back, knees bent, bells held by the handles over the chest.
Steps
- Lower the bells out to the sides until the upper arms reach the floor.
- Keep the wrists straight as the bells tip.
- Arc them back together over the chest.
Common mistakes
Wrists bending under the hanging bells: squeeze the handles and keep the wrists straight. Letting the bells bang together at the top: stop just apart. Heavy bells: the offset load makes this fly harder; go light.
Breathing
Inhale opening, exhale on the squeeze.
