Heel to Toe Walk
Walk forward along a line, setting each heel right against the toes of the other foot; a balance drill, slow and steady.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall at the start of a straight line, arms relaxed at the sides.
Steps
- Step forward and set the heel against the toes of the back foot.
- Settle your balance before the next step.
- Keep the eyes ahead and the hips level.
Common mistakes
Looking down at the feet: eyes on a point ahead. Gaps between heel and toes: they touch every step. Rushing to escape the wobble: slow steps are the exercise.
Breathing
Easy and steady.
