Front Plank with Leg Lift

The forearm plank with one straight leg lifted and lowered at a time, sides alternating.

How to do it

Setup

On the forearms and toes, elbows under the shoulders, hips in line.

Steps

  1. Float one leg up to the line of the body.
  2. Lower it and lift the other, hips level.
  3. Keep alternating for the time.

Common mistakes

Hips rocking toward the lifted leg: square and still. Lifting past the line of the body: the lower back arches; stop level. Chin tucking to the chest: eyes on the floor, neck long.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
