Frog Squat

A bodyweight squat pulsed in the bottom half with the hands clasped at the chest; the thighs never get the rest of standing up.

How to do it

Setup

Feet a little wider than the hips, toes turned out, hands clasped in front of the chest.

Steps

  1. Squat until the thighs are about level with the floor.
  2. Bob up and down a hand's width without leaving the bottom half.
  3. Keep the chest up and the heels down for the whole set.

Common mistakes

Standing up between pulses: stay low; the pulses are the set. Knees caving as the thighs tire: push them out over the toes. Chest dropping toward the knees: lift it and keep the hands at the chest.

Breathing

Steady with the rhythm.
