Heels Squat Slide Wall
The wall squat slide with the heels raised: back against the wall and the weight on the balls of the feet, slide down until the thighs are level and back up.
How to do it
Setup
Back flat against a wall, feet a stride in front and hip-width apart, heels raised, hands clasped at the chest.
Steps
- Slide down the wall until the thighs are level with the floor.
- Keep the heels up and the knees over the toes.
- Press through the balls of the feet to slide back up.
Common mistakes
Heels dropping at the bottom: keep the weight on the balls of the feet all the way. Knees drifting inward: track them over the middle toes. Back peeling off the wall: keep the shoulders and the hips on it.
Breathing
Inhale down, exhale up.
