Dumbbell Standing Inner Biceps Curl
The standing dumbbell curl with the palms turned out, the bells arcing away from the body toward the outside of the shoulders.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, bells at the sides, palms forward and rotated out, elbows close to the ribs.
Steps
- Curl both bells out and up to the outside of the shoulders.
- Hold the top with the palms still turned out.
- Lower along the same path to straight arms.
Common mistakes
Palms rolling back to the front halfway: keep them turned out. Throwing the bells out with the shoulders: the elbows stay by the ribs and the forearms travel. Heavy bells that force a lean back: go lighter.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
