Dumbbell One-Arm Pullover on Stability Ball

The pullover with one dumbbell in one hand, upper back on a ball; the single arm lowers behind the head while the hips stay up.

How to do it

Setup

Upper back on the ball, hips up, one bell held over the chest, arm nearly straight.

Steps

  1. Lower the bell in an arc behind the head.
  2. Stop at a stretch without the ribs flaring up.
  3. Pull it back over the chest; switch arms after the set.

Common mistakes

Arching the back as the arm goes overhead: ribs down, hips level. Bending the elbow into a triceps press: keep the angle. Twisting toward the working side: shoulders stay square on the ball.

Breathing

Deep inhale lowering behind the head, exhale pulling over.
