Dumbbell Incline Shoulder Raise
The incline shoulder raise with a dumbbell in each hand: arms straight over the shoulders, the blades sink back and then reach the bells toward the ceiling.
How to do it
Setup
Incline bench, a dumbbell in each hand at arm's length over the shoulders, palms facing forward, elbows locked.
Steps
- Let the shoulder blades sink back to the bench.
- Reach both bells toward the ceiling by lifting the shoulders off the bench.
- Lower the shoulders back slowly, arms still straight.
Common mistakes
Elbows bending on the reach: arms stay locked; only the blades move. Bells drifting apart: keep them over the shoulders. Uneven sides: both shoulders lift and sink together.
Breathing
Exhale reaching up, inhale lowering.
