Dumbbell Incline Fly on Stability Ball
The dumbbell fly lying back on a ball with the hips low, so the chest faces up at an incline and the upper chest does the work.
How to do it
Setup
Upper back on the ball, hips below the shoulders, bells over the upper chest, palms facing.
Steps
- Lower the bells out to the sides until the top of the chest stretches.
- Hold the incline; the hips do not move.
- Arc them back up to meet above the collarbones.
Common mistakes
Hips sliding off the ball: set them just below the shoulders and hold. Bending the elbows into a press: keep the arc. Bells closing over the stomach: on the incline they meet above the collarbones.
Breathing
Inhale opening, exhale on the squeeze.
