Dumbbell Incline Twisted Flyes
The incline dumbbell fly with a twist at the top: the palms turn toward the face and the bells meet end to end above the collarbones.
How to do it
Setup
Bench at 30–45°, bells over the upper chest, palms facing each other.
Steps
- Let the bells travel out and down to a stretch.
- As they rise, rotate the palms toward the face.
- Bring the bells end to end above the collarbones.
Common mistakes
Turning the wrists before the bells start up: the twist rides the upward arc. Ends meeting low over the stomach: aim them above the collarbones. Loading it like a plain fly: the twist needs a lighter bell.
Breathing
Inhale opening, exhale on the squeeze.
