Dumbbell Fly on Stability Ball
The dumbbell fly with the upper back on a stability ball and the hips held up; the arms open wide while the body stays a flat table.
How to do it
Setup
Upper back on the ball, hips level with the knees, bells over the chest, palms facing.
Steps
- Let the bells travel out and down in a wide arc, hips level.
- Keep the elbows softly bent and the hips level.
- Squeeze them back up until they meet over the chest.
Common mistakes
Hips sinking as the arms open: squeeze the glutes. Arms dropping below the shoulders: stop at shoulder level. Heavy bells on a ball: flys stay light.
Breathing
Inhale opening, exhale on the squeeze.
