Dumbbell Decline Twist Fly

The decline dumbbell fly with a twist at the top: the palms turn toward the face and the bells finish end to end over the lower chest.

How to do it

Setup

Decline bench, legs hooked, bells over the lower chest, palms facing each other.

Steps

  1. Spread the arms until the chest stretches, palms still facing.
  2. On the way up, turn the palms toward the face.
  3. Finish with the bells end to end, little fingers together.

Common mistakes

Twisting at the bottom under load: the turn happens on the way up. Heavy bells: the twist asks for a lighter weight than a plain fly. Finishing over the face: on a decline the ends meet over the LOWER chest.

Breathing

Inhale opening, exhale on the squeeze.
