Cable Standing Single-Arm Supinated-Grip Chest Press
A one-arm cable press with the palm facing up, back to the stack; the underhand grip keeps the elbow close to the ribs.
How to do it
Setup
Back to a cable at chest height, split stance, the handle at the side of the chest, palm up.
Steps
- Press the handle straight forward, palm still facing up.
- Keep the elbow brushing the ribs on the way out.
- Return to the chest slowly; switch arms after the set.
Common mistakes
Palm turning down mid-press: the upturned palm is the variant; hold it. Torso twisting toward the pressing arm: square shoulders, braced trunk. Elbow flaring out: it stays close to the side.
Breathing
Exhale pressing, inhale returning.
