Cable Single-Arm Low Row with Rope Attachment
One hand on a rope from a low pulley, rowed to the hip from a hinge; the rope lets the wrist turn as the elbow passes the body.
How to do it
Setup
Hinged over facing the low pulley, feet hip-width, the rope held in one hand below the knot.
Steps
- Row the rope to the hip, elbow along the ribs.
- Let the wrist turn in as the hand reaches the body.
- Return long, then finish the side before switching.
Common mistakes
Torso twisting toward the working arm: the shoulders stay square. Rising out of the hinge: the angle holds. Gripping the rope at the knot's end: hold it below the knot so it cannot slip.
Breathing
Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
